A park from another era

Ava and I are slowly adjusting to life in our small European city. For a month anyway. The  playgrounds (like so many aspects of daily life here) are so different than the ones in the USA. Completely integrated into the big green park, cute, somewhat reminding of vintage amusement parks, and next to coffee shops, always.
Our systems are still messed up from the flight, but we are paying less attention to that than we are to the slow relaxed and delightful rhythm of having Grandma nearby.
Yes, life with a babe can be such. But that I could never know on my own with her. Yet for the moment I allow myself to be lazy, to read, to have coffee by myself and to remember the feel of my small Eastern European country.
