Yes, it was absolutely worth it because we got to see the Prada and Sciaparelli exhibit.
Awesomely worth it!
There are things one can only see in New York. That is why we live here and put up with the numerous nuisances that come up.
The incredible street be-bop performers pictured bellow blew us away in front of the Met- seriously, where else can one see that?!
These guys were amazing.
If you give me the chance, I'll be at the Met almost daily. I find immense inspiration in the details of its vast art collection. The Byzantine antique amphora and vase above had impressive miniature decorations that are the same as so many familiar shapes and forms still used today- the square spiral band and the chess board for example. And they are over 2000 years old.
The baby was really impressed also. She pointed and loudly wowed at the displays.
They were not letting strollers in the Schiaparelli and Prada exhibition. Taking photographs was also not allowed.
So what do we do? We take turns going in with the babies and we take pictures anyway. Without flash, of course.
Who would suppose a mother is taking photos using her arms-held toddler as a cover? Sorry for the blurry photos.
Impossible conversations I do not think they are. I'd wear all the pieces in there mixed and matched except for the black collection and the fire shoes.
Go see it! Only through August something.
